Privacy Policy
Effective: November 1, 2026
Wanna3 is operated by Sentinel Holdings Group, Inc., 50 E Main St, Suite 100 PMB1008, Thomasville, NC 27360 ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Wanna3 is for adults 18 and older in the United States.
What we collect
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Email address and password | To create and protect your account. Passwords are stored as a hash, never as plain text. |
| Name, date of birth, gender, orientation, relationship status, who you want to meet, and bio | To build your profile and show you compatible people. For couples, this includes both partners. |
| Profile photos | To show on your profile after they pass review. |
| Verification selfie | To confirm you are a real adult who matches your photos. |
| Face data | Age estimates and face-match scores from the automated checks described below. These may count as biometric information. |
| Approximate location | To show people near you. We round your coordinates to about one kilometer before saving them, and we save your city and state when your phone can name them. While you use the app with location allowed, we update this from time to time, so matches stay near you. We never collect location in the background. |
| Messages | To deliver them to the person you are talking to. |
| Read receipts, typing, and chat presence | To show the person you are chatting with when you have read a message, are typing, or have that chat open. |
| Likes, passes, matches, blocks, and reports | To run the app and keep members safe. |
| Push notification token | To tell you about new matches and messages, if you allow notifications. |
| Time of your last activity | To show active profiles first. |
| When you accepted the Terms and agreed to face checks | To keep a record of your agreement. |
Your orientation, relationship status, and date of birth can be sensitive. You give them to us by entering them. You can change your orientation in Edit Profile. Your date of birth, gender, and relationship status (single or couple) can't be changed in the app, and they lock once you file a verification, because the checks ran against them. If one of them is wrong, email support@wanna3.com.
We do not collect your contacts, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
What other members can see
Other verified members can see your display name, age, gender, orientation, bio, approved photos, city, state, and a rounded distance such as "About 15 mi." They never see your email, date of birth, exact location, or verification selfie.
In a chat, the person you are talking to can also see when you have read their messages, when you are typing, and "Active now" while you have that chat open.
Only verified members can see you, and only after your own profile is verified. If you hide your profile, it stops appearing in Discover, though people you have already matched with can still see it.
Photos are stored at long, random web addresses. Anyone who has the exact address of a photo could open it, so please only upload photos you are comfortable sharing with other members.
How we use your information
We use your information to run Wanna3, show you compatible people, deliver messages and notifications, review photos and verification selfies, respond to reports, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not show ads, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics tools in the app.
Automated review and face checks
Every photo and verification selfie is checked by automated tools from Amazon Web Services (AWS). They look for rule-breaking content, estimate the age of anyone pictured, and read any text in the image.
These checks use your face, and the measurements they make may count as biometric information. We only run them after you agree, in the box on the sign-up screen and again on the verification screen. If you sign up as a couple, you both agree. Here is when they run:
- When you save profile photos. The tools find faces and estimate ages, as soon as a photo is saved.
- When you verify. They also compare the face in your selfie with the faces in your profile photos, and confirm you did the prompt on screen.
- When a verified member adds a photo. They compare it with your approved photos, to check it is still you. If they can't tell, the photo waits for a moderator and stays hidden until then.
We use these checks only to confirm you are a real adult who matches your photos, and to keep members safe. We do not sell the results. We do not keep a reusable template of your face. If you do not want a face check, do not verify. You cannot use Wanna3 without verification, and you can delete your account at any time.
AWS runs these checks for us, so your photos and selfie go to AWS. AWS may store what it processes to provide and maintain its service. We have opted out of AWS using your photos and selfie to develop or improve its services.
The automated tools can be wrong. If they are unsure, a moderator decides. If you think a decision is wrong, email support@wanna3.com and we will check it again.
When moderators see your information
A moderator can see your selfie, photos, date of birth, and account details when the automated review passes something to them, when someone reports you, or when we handle a support, safety, or legal request about your account. Moderators can look up an account by email, name, or account ID for those reasons. They do not see your exact location.
We do not read your private messages, with one exception: when someone reports a person, the moderator handling the report can read the recent messages between those two people.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the companies that help us run Wanna3, and only for that purpose:
- Supabase hosts our database, file storage, and sign-in system.
- Amazon Web Services runs the automated review of photos and selfies, and sends account emails such as sign-in codes.
- Expo, Apple, and Google deliver push notifications.
- Apple and Google turn your location into a city and state, through your phone's map service.
- Forward Email and Google handle messages you send to our support address.
Each provider handles this information under its own data-protection terms.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that it is needed to protect someone from harm. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
If our business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy or tell you about changes first.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. These parts go sooner:
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Verification selfie | Deleted after the decision, normally within minutes. If a delete fails, we retry within 15 minutes. |
| A selfie that uploaded but was never submitted | Deleted within about an hour, unless a safety hold requires keeping it. |
| Age estimates and face-match scores | Removed as soon as the photo or selfie is decided. |
| Rejected photos | The file is deleted after the decision, normally within minutes. The note saying why stays until you delete the photo or your account. |
| Photos of a banned member | The files are deleted the same way, after the ban. |
We keep any of these longer only if a safety review or the law requires it, such as when someone may be under 18. See below.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Settings > Delete account. If you haven't finished signing up, or your account was banned, Delete account is on the screen you see after you sign in. This removes your account, profile, photos, selfie, matches, and messages right away. Your conversations also disappear for the people you talked to.
We keep a small amount of information after deletion, as needed for safety and legal reasons:
- Reports you filed or that were filed about you, and records of moderator decisions.
- If you were banned, a one-way hash of your email address, which stops you from signing up again. It stays after you delete your account.
- If reports about you are still open when you delete your account, a one-way hash of your email address, so you can't come back with it while we look into them. We remove it if every report about you is dismissed.
- If you are held as a possible minor, or we must preserve files for a safety review or a report to the authorities, deletion is not complete. Your selfie, your photos, and a record of your account (email, name, bio, dates of birth, account dates, and a list of your files) stay in restricted storage until that work is finished. If we report to NCMEC, we keep them for at least one year. Your messages are not kept: they are deleted with your account.
Your choices and rights
You can view your profile in the app and change it, apart from the details that lock. You can hide your profile in Edit Profile. You can turn off notifications in Settings or in your device settings.
You can turn off location in your device settings. We then stop updating it, but your last saved location stays on your profile and is still used for distance matching until you update it or delete your account. To have it removed sooner, email support@wanna3.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a decision about a request. Email support@wanna3.com and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Security
Your information is encrypted in transit and stored on infrastructure that encrypts data at rest. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Wanna3 is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If we learn someone is under 18, we remove them from the app, and we keep only what the section on deleting your account describes. Report a suspected minor in the app or at support@wanna3.com.
Changes
If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
